~Venison Stew~

2 pounds of meat, cubed
2 onions, cubed
3 clove garlic
5 potatoes, cubed
8 carrots, sliced
6 stalks celery, sliced
1/2 cup dry red wine
1- 8oz can tomato sauce
salt and pepper to taste
Flour

Cover meat with water and boil until almost done. Add remaining ingredients and cook until tender about 35 to 45 minutes on a med to low heat setting. May want to thicken with flour mixed with a little water.

If you like, you can do this in the Crock-Pot. Salt and pepper venison cubes. Brown lightly in 2 Tablespoons butter or oil. Put Celery and onions in Crock-Pot. Add meat and remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 12 hours ( high 4 to 6) stirring occasionally.

Serve in a bowl by itself or it's great served over rice or noodles.
